We worked on the cover and design of the book ‘Gone to the woods’ by Gary James Paulsen for MACMILLAN CHILDREN’S PUBLISHING GROUP, US. It was probably the most interesting and difficult experience of working on the cover.
This is the story about difficult fate of a man who first time in his life met warmth and simple joys only when he as a child came to his uncle and aunt. They lived in the woods of Minnesota. A few bright summer months warmed and illuminated the rest of his life full of hardships and tragedies.
The book was published in 2020 by Macmillan Publishers, one of the leading and oldest (150 years!) children’s publishers in the world. The cover font is the decision of the publisher’s designers.
